I honestly do not know. Sometimes I lose it, like the last day when I caught the hand of a teacher and asked him to get out. Frustrating, horrible. But there are other things I have to keep in mind. For example, if the teachers, children, and parents think beating like this is fine, and is required to teach, who am I/who are we to go and intervene there, bringing in our understanding from some perhaps Western concepts of childhood, violence, and child rights? If I still do, then, is there any difference between me and the British who 'intervened' in India to 'civilise' us? Do read my next two posts. They are about this conflict within me and inability to act. Perhaps by doing this, I fall into the people "lost of intellect" that Dante categorises, unable to take a decision, unable to act, but I want to reflect and understand before I act.
